Give em Heaven, sister!!!

hey hey hey! i hope everyone had a great week. it went by super quick for us! on monday it wasnt that good of a pday. we got free taco bell which was cool...but we didnt get to play sports that much cause no one was there. ugh oh well. that night we went to teach martin...we showed him the 20 min restoration video. he loved it and asked if there was a longer one...yes there is sir. on tuesday it was literally hell on earth. like so hot i wanted to shoot myself numerous times. me and salazar are all about getting tan so were like lets go walking around the trailer park and talk to people...cool. not cool. we start walking and im like sweating in 5 minutes. and no one is outside because theyre smart and stay in their nice cool house. by the time we got home i was drenched and gross lol nap time came next. that night we saw the cutest old man that just loves the sisters but hates 9am church. we taught him about the atonement. my favorite thing because it is the best thing that we have as members of the church! use it use it use it! we had one of the best dinners that night...bbq chicken, salad, beans and yummmmm! these people are tryna kill me. on wednesday we had district meeting...we talked about the importance of church for the bajillionth time. i was just asking some questions and tryna get peoples minds turning when everyone just turned on me and made me answer my own questions with a role play. in front of everyone. ugh hated that beyond belief. like role play in the worst. dont do it. i did it though. whatever lol bad attitude. that night we went to martins to play the long version of the restoration. i love that movie so much and have a legit crush on joseph smith or something. the whole time martin was making rediculous comments that made no sense and at the end he was hittin on us soooo much. like "mommies, i wanna take you to dinner. anywhere you want, just us." UMMMMMM NOOOOOO!!! then we left and he kissed our hand -______- we were so disappointed. like why is he taking the lessons and just questioning everything. bad! on thursday we had food bank and then we taught savanah. she is almost done with the lessons and is preparing for baptism on aug 9th. shes really quiet so when we try to get to her testimony all she says is "it makes me happy". i think she is genuine though because she is excited to get baptized and have her sins washed away. we had dinner with bishop hargis that night. that family is just all about missionary work and doing anything they can do to help us. they are so great.we talked alot about kris our recent convert. about a week ago  kris kind of fell off the face of the earth. we dont know where she is but know its not good. please pray for kris that she will want continued contact. on friday we met with arieana...the first time since her baptism. we showed finding faith in christ and she gave the best little 8 year old girl prayer that i have ever heard! she loves christ and is just the cutest little thing....so sassy too haha. that night we met with martin.....we get there and he apologized for the way he acted saying that he had a little too much to drink before our meeting. it was the perfect time to talk about the word of wisdom. man oh man it was so intense.....he kept on justifying how he needed his drink and how it helps him function and all these excuses. sister salazar just laid him out...like not yelling but very bold! i was just like "ill step back here real quick, you got it guuuuuurlll." she was soo good. in the end he agreed that he would finish the bottle he has then he was done. weve seen him everyday since and the members (omg which is kat and leroy btw) said he hasnt drank. he seems kind of bitter towards us but we know he will be blesseedddd!!!!!! WOW rullllzzzzz. on saturday we balled in the morning. love that. then we went to a clothing exchange at the church. i got some way decent shoes and a shirt and stuff. we went to the cutest old couple for dinner and accidently spent 4 hours there ooopsss. they are great and her husbands not a member so it was good. old people have the best stories. i cant wait to live life more!!! sunday was a good day! me and sister salazar gave talks in 8th ward about missionary work. do it peeeeeepsss! thats basically the gist of it. ill send it to you parents. it monsooned and rained like crazy! its soo cool because every prayer that was said in church people asked for rain. Heavenly father listened obvi!!! he loves us out here in the desert. okay this is long. i love you guys. write me and stuff. i wanna hear all about your life!!!!

PIONEER PALOOZA!!

omg you guys words cant describe how much i loved this week. def one of the funnest weeks of my whole mission. so herrrrre we go! on monday, we played the funnest games at pday. glow in the dark dodgeball with glow sticks and fun. then our zone leader ran into a piano and had to get stitches so that ended the fun. then we had fhe at our stake presidents house which was a good ol time. that night a man from our ward texted us about how his roommate wanted to be mormon! hahah that is such a miracle. we were so excited and set an appointment. on tuesday we had a zone meeting and we all ate cold cereal while we learned how to be better missionaries. than night we taught our new investigator. his name is martin. he is all about coming closer to heavenly father and changing his life. its also super convenient that he lives with members...so hopefully they can be a good example for him. on wednesday we had interviews with our new mission president. it was kind of different and i miss killpack but im sure i will grow to love president passey just as much. we talked a lot about how i can keep the fire going but then we also talked about going home. my official release date is DECEMBER 17TH!!! Parents, i sent you a nice little letter about everything that needs to happen before then and what will happen if youre down to still pick me up...which is a GO! that was exciting and a little trunky but alllll good! we saw charlotte and arieana that day. arieana was so excited for her baptism..."how many more days"...."3"...."ugh thats FOREVER". so cute. that night we went to some ward members to help them make the float for the pioneer parade. me and sister salazar made moroni's title of liberty. whiched turned out pretty dang good if i do say so myself. thursday we went to the food bank and made the baptismal program. omg speaking of which....can you believe that only 2 people in the ward play the piano and they both couldnt do it?!? what, i thought all mormons played? we had to ask someone from a different ward to play for us. thats it. im def teaching my little kiddies to play. after dinner we went and saw martin again and taught him the rest of the restoration. sis salazar gave the first vision and did so good. growing up so fast! he accepted an baptismal date of august 16th...so if either of us get transferred we would still be there for it. friday was fun and busy. all the missionaries in the gila valley were apart of the "variety show" they were having for pioneer day. so we had to go to practice for that in the day. sing one verse of "we the builders of the nation" and raise our hands in the air. woop woop! after the practice we saw arieana one last time before her baptism....then we had dinner with the FERRINS! ugh it was soo good to see them. the kids are all grown up and kim and dan just are so skinny and look like babes! i miss them so much and they were so nice to me and sister salazar. come back anytime you want, guys! we talked about home and the good ol days. after dinner we went to the variety show and were famous. lol jk we were in it for 3 seconds, but it was still fun. okay now saturday was wayyyy too tight. first, we woke up at 5:45 to meet our zone at the stake center and balll. that was great. after we went to the pancake breakfast that they were having. yummm. i saw some people from my old ward! it was good to see them and see that they havent forgotten about me. then we had to rush home and get ready for the baptism. it was soo good! arieana came in a beautiful white dress. there was so much support from the ward and her family...a lot of which who are nonmembers. i know they felt the spirit because there were definitely tears. she bore her testimony at the end and was just too precious. after it was all over she cried a bit because she was sad that he mom wasnt able to make it. she is such a strong little girl that has unfortunate circumstances. after the baptism we went to our investigators wedding. it was in the gym and was very romantic. lol love...get away. okay then i just had to take a nap during lunch. after that we decided we would do some service for our zone leaders if they would help us out. so we have a mouse in our house -_____- what. we told them we would clean their house if they would kill the mouse. so we swept and mopped their place while they were on the search for our friend jerry. they didnt find him...yet. after that it was time to go to the parade! lol we were so famous because we go to ride on the float. i saw a lot of people from my old areas and was soo happy to see them. i love making friends!! after the parade, we ate with the ferrins at the bbq...thanks again for buying us dinner. i owe you!!!! we just talked with people and watched the fire works!!! they were amazing. then me and salazar chilled with the ferrin boys while kim and dan just talked with all their buddies. i loved it!!! yesturday was a good church day and time to wind down and get back to the old grind. i had so much fun this week and we worked hard but we also played hard. it was great. i love my mission! the church is true. OH DAD! you ask if we ever knock. not really. 1: because there are so many mormons it would be totes awk. "hi we are the missionaries...lol are you mormon?" 2: i know we should be knocking BUT we are advised that knocking is not the best way to find new people to teach. its a cold contact with not much success. especially out here we NEED the members help. knocking is just kind of a waste of time....but it does give experience. i will take sis salazar this week. promise! okay love you all. help the missionaries do missionary work WITH you guys. byeeee lol long email.
love sista b

Workin' hard!

hellllllo and gday to everyone. hope you all had a cute little week. this week was way good for us. after pday on tuesday we went to dinner and this family had a PURDY PUPPY! are you kidding me?! i was in love and could not even focus everytime it came around. i felt like jalyn and just wanted to scream "WEEEE WEEE WEE MMMMMMMM" hahah. after dinner we came back to the house and salazar unpacked all her stuff and made herself at home. on wednesday we had a service thing in the morning then went to district meeting to meet everybody. i think this new zone will be fun and that we will all be super close. we talked about prayer in district meeting and it was super good. i have been paying special attention to my prayers this week and making sure that im not generallizing and saying the same things over again. after that we went to lunch at a mexican resturaunt. pretty good. not the best.  we saw ariana everyday this week, making sure that she is ready for her baptism this upcoming week. she really does remember everything that we teach her...if we give her hint. shes so cute! i cant wait for you guys to see this little freckled face ginger! the rest of the day i took sister salazar around the area and introduced her to some of our regulars...cat and leroy omg lol hilar, charlotte, and the franklins. they all took her in very welcoming and didnt scare her away too much. on  thursday we had food bank for 4 hours. it took forever! haha sister salazar couldnt believe that they would just give us free food. she was all about it. we read with kris that day. she is/was doing so good! her electricity go turned back on...so we had some fans on and it wasnt that hot! blessings do follow those who keep the commandments! we come home early most nights because i have specific training to do with sis salazar. its kinda monotomous the third time around but i can make it. on friday we decided that we should try and see kris after food bank. her phone wasnt working but we decided just to drop by and it was a good thing that we did. we walk in and she is just awefully sick. she can barely move. she had throw up all over the floor and looked soo bad. we didnt really know what to do so we called the bishop who is a doctor and decided that we needed to take her to the hospital. its times like these that i am so grateful for the soft whisperings of the spirit and that i can be intune with him. if we didnt follow the prompting to go see kris at that time who knows what would happen...it could have been days before she got ahold of anyone! it was such a miracle. that was the big adventure of the day. on satuday we went and saw kris at the hospital and it turns out that she got an infection, was dehydrated and has something wrong with her eye. oh and her blood pressure was like 88/60 which is wayyy to low! shes doing better and the ward is just so great at going to see her and make her feel loved. shes still in the hospital and dont know when she will get out. prayers for kris please! we were incredibly busy the rest of the day...seeing the relief society president, helping kat and leroy figure out how we can help them stop smoking and at the end of the night we went to kris' house and cleaned. she hasnt had electricity in 7 months...there was alot to do. we vacummed and shampooed her carpet and cleaned her kitchen. i love serving others! making sure they feel loved! nothing really happened on sunday except church. ariana had her baptismal interview and passed! yay haha. this next week is gonna be good! we have interviews with president, arianas baptism and pioneer day! im way excited. sister salazar is doing great. shes a little new to the schedule and has fallin asleep acouple of times during lessons but she can keep up. ihope im not pushing her too hard. im tryna go really hard these last few months....GOGOGOGOGO! anyways shes great and we get along good! have a great week everyone! love you

Baby No. 2

I TOLD YOU!!! DIDNT I! i told you i thought i was training and i was right! its okay though. it was something i was really praying for becuase i think training well help me focus more and make me go hard these last few months! ill tell you about my little babe at the end. this week was soooo good. i loved everyday. so on monday after pday we drove to do exchanges and i went with sister fullmer! i love this sister and she goes home tomorrow so it was so good to do this last exchange with her. we talked alot! about the mission and things she has learned. i ccant wait till i get to that point. i hope i have no regrets! we saw a few people that day and did some family history. we were both so tire becuase we were up really late talking about everything. i love her!!! we taught our little ginger investigator, arianna. she is just so cute and for a little girl really understands the things that we teach her. on wednesday....shoot what did we do. umm saw kris and charlotte and had stake coorelation. oh yeah! sister reeves had a filling re done so we had to go to the dentist, which was fun! on thursday we went to meet president passey. you wanna hear the craziest news?! i was in the same freshman dorm hall as his daughter. i saw her walk in and was like WUT THE?!!? so that was an instant "in" with the passey clan. he is super chill and funny and his wife is so energetic. they will be good for the mission. im excited to see what they bring. we went out to lunch with sister call after. subway...thanks mom for the free sub btw! then we went to volunteer at the food bank. that afternoon we went to go see kris and read with her. there was a super huge dust storm during that time. we could hardly see 5 feet in front of us. ALSO, OMG I CANT BELEIVE I FORGOT THIS! i am so dumb. lol last saturday there was an earthquake in safford! lol and earth quake...wut?! it was at around 10 and it was a 5.2, thats pretty big. it reminded me of the time in puyallup. it was way fun though i was rofling after it happened. the next day at church everyone was like "REPENT, THE TIME IS SOON!" lol that was funny. anyways after the dust storm we went to dinner and then as we are leaving from dinner there was a huge fire! someones whole trailer was burning down. we spent most the night looking at that and taking pics....also making sure everyone was okay obvi. on friday it was the fourth of july. omg it was so patriotic. 9th ward had a ward breakfast and george washington was there. or just an old man in a costume. still so cool. then we went to a parade that was in town. we didnt really know how to fill our time...so we saw some old ladies who dont have family in town. we share with them a message on freedom and how lucky we are to live in a country where we have the freedom to worship how we want. we really are blessed! that night we went to a ward party and had a bbq and watched fire works. it was so fun! on saturday we played ball as a zone! that always so tight. then there were a couple of baptisms that we went to. we visited charlotte and some less actives. on sunday we had church. arianna went up during sacrament meeting and bore her testimony about the things we have been teaching here and how excited she is to get baptized! so precious...and brave!!! we saw kris that night and helped with some tough decisions. she is going through a hard time with her son right now and we can only encourage her to rely on the lord. she is so strong though. we had dinner and then saw arianna, shes really excited for her baptism!!! if only we could see her more! me and sis reeves were so nervous for transfer calls. i just felt it though, i knew i was training. sure enough president called and told us the news. i was training and sis reeves was going to the west. i was excited about it! monday was spent packing, saying goodbye to people and i couldnt believe our zone didnt get together for pictures! i was so mad!! we went to dennys for breakfast instead. we left that night to stay in my old house in vail so that we didnt have to get up at 3 am to get to tucson in the morning. i got about 4 hours of sleep then was off to the transfer cite. my new lilttle babe is sister salazar from provo, ut but originally from chile. shes so fun! im excited to train her and show her the rope. also when i was at the transfer cite, one of my buddies elder donaldson told me that he ran into KATHY COLLINS! from marysville. hahah she saw hima and asked if he knew me...obvi he did cause im totes popular. jk weve just served around eachother alot. she said that she used to babysit me when i was little hahah how funny! anyways heres to a new transfer and a new comp! i hope its good. only 3 left after this! love you!!
