week o miracles

omg you guys this week was just the best and the busiest and i loved it to pieces! on tuesday we had this new missionary training meeting that we had to go to so that was fun to see the other newbies. i think im doing a dece job of training but the other trainers said i need to let her crash and burn a little bit...im too nice and fun and cute for that. then we got a leak in our tire so  we had to go the the shop after that. that night we had a great lesson with the corbetts about the plan of salvation. i dont know how much i told you about these people but they are a less acitive family with 4 unbaptized children. the elders were teaching them but we kinda stole them. they were mad but oh well. so anyways we teach them this great lesson and have a great dinner after and we invited them to church and the mom was really hesitant but we promised her that we would be by her side the whole time! she committed. then that night we went to a recent converts house and her daughter he is not baptized committed to baptism. another miracle! it was a great day. on wednesday we had district meeting and i had to give a training. but like im not even nervous or anything about that stuff. the mission is preparering me big time for being a teacher. we had tbell for luch. way tight. that night was our district leaders birthday. so we share the ward with him and some members took us to the funnest palce in all of tucson. it was like a wester resturaunt and they whole place was so cute. they dont allow ties there so they cut off peoples ties and hang em on the walls. lol the elders were way embarrassed bout that. it was so fun! then on thursday we had another great lesson with the oversons about obedience and scheduled a church tour. on friday we were told that we were getting a newer car! yipeeeee. so we hadda go to the mission office and get it. that took forever, but we finally got it. our day was basically done by the time we got home. saturday was a great day too. we saw some less active recent converts and committed them to church. they said they need it back in their life. then we had a church tour with the oversons and they loved it. sis overson said she feels peaceful whenever we are around. lol thank you spirit!!! i love that guy. so things are going great with them. also some members are outta town for a month and we are feeding their horses. im like a farm girl right now you guys its hilar. freaking ponies. on sunday the corbetts came to church!!! everyone was so suprised because they said they never come. they never came when the elders were teaching them so HA! lol jk humble. it was so great though. all in all this week was bomb!!!! thank you for the prayers that are comin my way. the lords work is truly hastening in vail. its great. so this is the last week of transfers so ill email next tuesday. also, if you guys know anyone in the tucson area that would love a visit from some fun missionaries, email me! think of the blessing the gosple brings, we want this for everyone right?! i luv you. first one to send me a letter gets a way fun arizona postcard!

LOL

oh shooooooot, i only have like 15 minutes so sorry if this is really short. so last monday we had lunch with grandparents. it was soo goood to talk to them about the family and how everyone was doing. i love them! then we had an awesome time at pday sports. we play like so much bball and i love it! i get freaking so sweaty though. but whats new, right? i dont have my planner with me so i dont really remember what went on this week. ima rack my brain though. ummmm omg im stressin cause i dont remember! we went and we visited quite a few people. on wednesday we had district meeting and our DL goes home in 2 weeks so hes soooo chill and we are just district chillin the whole time. hes a great missionary. ugh this is aweful sorry. please still read. i just really cant remember. we met with some recent converts on tuesday and they had a friend sit in on the lesson and said she wants to know more and their daughter said she wants to get baptized too. miracle! on thursday we met with the oversons and had a bbq because can you believe its was like 85 on that day. i hated it! anyways they told us that they really like us and that we are helping them learn alot more about the church and heavenly father. that made me feel good in our teaching skills. on friday it was valentines day! lol no love. but it was still good. we went to go help set up for a ward party that they were having. we also frosted cookies for a couple hours. and then i ate 3 -__- that night we had dinner at the funnest family ever! this smiths....theres at least one in each ward in america. i can bank on that. we had pizza! perfect singles awareness day. on saturday we went chalking at the park and drew the plan of salvation and then we had a little bit of time before dinner so we went to the magic shop...a little shack on the side of the road. the guy did so many magic tricks for us it was so fun! he was a true sorrcerer. then after dinner the elders and the family they lived with invited us over for more pizza and a movie (17 miracles) obvi couldnt turn that one down. on sunday we had a district fast and fasting+9 hours of church= not a very happy missionary. it was a pretty hard day, but we had dinner at the smiths again and everything was good. on monday we had a great pday. i was a reallly good baller yesturday. my game was on. then we are teaching an 7 year old preparing for baptism. that family is sooooo cute. i am going to steal thier little baby girl. today we had a new missionary training meeting. it was good! i need to be a better trainier. im sure im fine but its still a lot of responsibility. but sis stuart said to me this week that when her stake president set her apart he blessed her with a good trainer. lol thats me people! that made me feel good. well i gotta go have a great week! love you! write me or summin

I can't shut up!!

hellllllo family and friends. hopefully everyone is doing so wonderful. this week wassssss eh. not to bad and not too good. so on monday it was pday and like everyone went mountain biking or something and so no one was at sports. i was like -___- this sucks. so i went home and slept. then we had fhe with some new converts which was fun. they have the cutest little boy. on tuesday we had an adventure!!! we met with out vampire girl. that was interesting in itself. we are going to try and help her with personal progress but in a way that she can connect with. i love being creative! then we had dinner with my favortie family ever! the elders live with them, but we had them for dinner. they are converts and so strong. i love them and we can just talk and talk. after them we had a lesson. they live on a way sketch dirt trail and it was dark. so like im driving and i see this address and im like "we miss it" so i back up about 10 feet trying to go to the other house and i back into a deep ditch!!! we tried all we could to get it out but i thought we were making things worse. so we had to call the elders! it took them 45 minutes to help us and the cyotes were howling and it was cold and dark. but the elders came to the rescue! elder bell just gets out and hes like "freakin sisters". lol thanks for saving us. on wednesday we had a zone meeting and it went forever! then we went to lunch for an elders birthday and that took forever. we didnt get home till 4 and we had dinner at 5. so full. that night we taught a less active family with 4 unbaptized children (corbetts). i love teaching children because i can be fun with them! at the end of the lesson the mom said how long have you been out and i was like almost  8 months and she was like "wow i thought you were almost done. youre a pro!" lol thanks! on thursay....oh thursday. i will have nightmares about this day. it was the WOOOOOOORST! We went tracting for like an hour. nothing. then we tried to see like 15 people and no one was home or they couldnt meet. from 1-5 nothing! i hated it!!!! but then we had dinner at our investigators house (oversons) and they showed us their animals and tree house and we had enchiladas. they are soooo golden...we just have to get them to church!!!  then we went back down the dirt road to the people we were supposed to visit on tuesday. we made it guys! on friday, after weekly planning we had a great day. we had so many appointments that we had to skip dinner! i love days like that. suprisingly almost everyone we are consitantly teaching are kids and i am just fine with that. then saturday was a great day too!!! loved it. we met with some great members....i love old people, and some less actives actually let us into their house! i love the idea of the rescue. everyone needs to remember the covenants they made at baptism. then saturday afternoon we got a call from one of the bishopric asking us to give a talk on sunday -_______- typical men lol jk. so on sunday we gave a talk on "you can do it now" a talk given by pres uchtdork in oct gen conference. i think i did pretty good. then we had church for 9 hours. lol. now onto the title. i never realized how much i talk. like so much. all the time. and its rediculous. i dont let sis stuart get a word in. and we talked about it and she said its good for her. NO! I neea shut up. pray that i can keep my mouth shut and that sis stuart will have the courage to say everything she wants too. im outta control. okay have a great week. kiss all your loved ones on friday. i have a hot date with the spirit. holllla!

Seahawks represent!

yay seahawks!!! good for them....even though i only saw .2 seconds of the game. im glad they won...i literally just spelt won like one. im getting so retarted. need byu. so this week was better. on monday the whole zone got together and played bball. it was so fun. our zone is so little but we are like united! its great. then we went back out trying to see families and at first we had no luck for like 30 minutes and i was like "suck! what the crap!" and then we finally got in a less active part member family and gave them a great lesson about trials and faith. it is so good when you get to teach! i love it. then on tuesday we didnt have such a great day but we we got to go to mutual which was so fun. there were these two girls in the corner just laughing and being fun and it reminded me of me and brooklyn in yw. always so disruptive. sorry to all the yw leaders who hated me. on wednesday we had district meeting but we were late because a text got sent out to everyone that it would be an half hour earlier BUT since we live in the middle of the moutains. no text for us! weeeeeeeeeeee! thats seriously so annoying. but despite that we actually had a good day and met with some less acitves and got some new investigators. they were being taught before and we picked them up again. they are a part member family and i think they will be pretty solid. ill keep you updated with them. on thursday we spent most of our day looking at part member families and unbaptized 9 year old children. suprisingly we got into a lot  of homes but were not interested in getting taught. its okay though. we left them with the spirit and thats all we can do. omg and then we met with this autistic 16 year old girl. shes so great and im looking forward to working with her. she thinks shes a vampire and im like GREAT, set me up with edward and we will work perf together. it will be so fun. i love twilight. we got 6 lessons that day!!! fun. then on friday we went over to see some recent converts to teach them how to FHE. they are such a cute family and the little boy is soooo sassy. hes 3 and he scares me. ps....everyone out here loves horses and im just like horses -______________-. im not a horse person...im a purdy person! i LOVE PURDY! saturday was the funnest. after seeing a couple of people we went over a members house because they were having a party for the new missionaries in the ward. we had a bonfire with hot dog roasting and smores. SO FUN!!! i loved it. that is the perk of being out in the sticks! then sunday was 9 hours at church. GRANDMA AND GRANDPA CAME! It was fun to see them and sit with them. kinda wierd. but i loved it. grandma was so excited and grandpa tried to hug me and i was like LOL AHHHHHHH! hahah but it was good. then we went over to a familys house for dinner and they were watching the super bowl and it was 22-0 seahawks. i just came in chanting "SEAHAWKS SEAHAWKS" lol i dont even like foootball. i felt bad for barging in on their party but like missionaries are fun too and we all knew that seattle would win! any ways i hope this week is successful. thanks for all the love and support! have a great week!!!

You can take the girl out of the hood, but......

sooooo im just gonna admit this right now. i miss the west. like alot. it was perfect for me. the people were so ghetto and nice that it just fit me. and now im located in the middle of nowhere; vail, az. literally there is nothing. we have to drive 20 mile to get food and we have literally zero cell reception. BUT this will be a good thing. i am determined to make every negative sitation a positive one. everytime i have to get up and go outside and perfectly position myself between the sliding glass door just to get 2 bars of service i will have a smile on my face. i forgot to tell you guys alittle bit about my baby! her name is misty stuart, she is from treemonton, ut. she went to USU for 5 years, hit a road block and is now on a mission. shes 24 and perfect! we get along good. shes a little quite but i can break out her silly side, and she has a great sense of humor. we will have fun!
so this is what went down this week. on tuesday we got all settled into our new house. we live with members in their little side apartment, but we have total privacy and its great. plus! we have our own washer and dryer. PRAISES! love that. i set up all my pictures and it feels a little more like home. on wednesday we had our district meeting with a zone breakout to meet everyone. the rincon zone is tiny. i think there are only 20 of us and only 2 districts. i know and have served with some of the missionaries so its fun to see them again. my district leader is way tight and we are serving in the same ward, hes been alot of help these last 6 days. afterwards we all went out to in-n-out for lunch. rincon is right next to east tucson so its so weird to be back in the streets of where i had served 4 months ago. makes me remember all the miserable hot days -___-. for the rest of the day we went around and met ward leaders to get familiar with everyone. we had dinner at one of our ward mission leaders house and discussed the work that needs to be done. on thursday i went to donate blood at the church but my veins were too weak....lol not enough water and too much sunny d. shoot. then we went to dinner at a members house where the elders live. they are SO nice and have horses, which sis stuart loves. they are throwing a get to know the sisters party for us this weekend! on friday, we finished seeing the ward auxilary leaders and even saw a recent convert and less active. it was a great day! i was like "this is awesome, i love it here....everyone lets us in their door and give them a message. fun!" then came saturday...we literally drove aroudn EVERYWHERE trying to see people. but no luck. then we went home for dinner and the family we live with was having a bbq and they let us chill with them and share a message, it was a good lift from the aweful day. SUNDAY, oh man lemmme tell you about sunday. we have the cieniga ward at 8 am. this ward is cool. most of them live on dirt roads out in the middle of now where, and theyre super friendly. then at 11-2 we eat lunch and study. all still at the church. then the corona ward starts. this ward is in an area where there are alot of new housing development. SO many new families and babies and kids. like so many. could barely hear the speaker but like multiply and replenish the earth i guess. and then after church we had a linger longer that we ate at....so we were at church from 8am-6pm. thatll be the routine for another 12 weeks. then we had an aweful night. no one could see us because they were putting their kids to sleep. a little discouraging. there is so much work to be done but i dont really know where to start. things will be good this week, i can feel it. prayers would be appreciated! have a great week. i love you all. i got so many emails this week, which was just what i needed! so much love!

I'm a Momma!

hello hello hello!!! how was everyones week? i hope just amazing! this week was pretty crazy but i loved it. on tuesday we had exchanges and i went with sister munn. shes such a great missionary and TALKS WITH EVERYONE...i mean everyone. we would be driving down the road and she says stop! and rolls down the window and talks to the person on the street. lol so awkward. but we did get a new investigator that day which is awesome. it was a great day and learning experience. then on wednesday we had our last zone meeting. wahhhh i love the west. then after a couple of appointments we had dinner and that night we went to bed early because thursday was TEMPLE DAY! we left bright and early headed towards the gila valley. the car ride was so fun. we took the huge van that the mission owns and it was all sisters and the zone leaders. we just gossiped and i bet the elders loved it! the temple was so great. i just love being there and when i feel how strong the spirit is it gives me motivation to get out there and convert all the people because i want everyone to feel this peace! you feel me homie!? then after we went out to get some mexican food and shopped around. the gilla valley is alotta mormons so the misssionaris get like 50% off anywhere you go. so tight. by the time we got home is was time to go to dinner and the day was almost done. but it was a great day and i love the temple...wish we could go more often. then on friday i was feeling SO sick. real bad soar through and snot lol. so we weekly planned and i slept but we still got out there and walked to dinner. haha we walked because we are out of our alotted miles for the month. oops. on saturday we had a great day planned. we helped some members move...they have the cutest baby and it takes every bit of me not to pick her up. then we had a lesson with our new investigator and he accepted a baptismal date which was awesome. then after luch we had a couple more lessons then we went to our district leaders area and pass out muffins to people at the park. which we quickly came to realize is way creepy so we just drew the plan of salvation on the ground haha. love it! on sunday i was totally nervous all day because it was the night we recieved transfer calls. it was 8:53 and the phone rang.....
sister evans: hello this is sister evans, we are on speaker
president: hello sisters, are you ready for the transfer news

get work done!

yesss this week was good! we had alot of success! ugh i am so lazy to write this letter right now, but i know that like everyone looks so forward to reading them everyweek that i shall try my best to be do it justice. okay so like on tuesday we had a zone training from president and the aps. it was really good. focused on working with investigator and finding new people to teach. TALK WITH EVERYONE was used alot but like its so scary and like there are alot of mexican people in my area. i love the mexicans but like no habla espanole. so i guess i will just follow the spirit. OR the spirit can give me the gift of tongues to talk with them. we will see. if i write my whole email in spanish next week it worked. omg that was just the stupidest tangent i just went off on. then on wednesday we went out as a zone to one of our elders area to kinda attack it all at once. it was pretty good. we just knocked a whole neighborhood, but really no bites. then we all went out to in-n-out which was way good. after we had a few real good lessons with our recent converts and dinner at a fun young couples house. they both served missions and they waited for eachother and their story is so cute. ugh romance is the worst on the mission but like oh well i embrace it so im not awkward when i get home. then that night we had the best lessson with our 2 new investigators. they really felt the spirit and were all about the book of mormon to see if it was true. we even extended a baptismal date which is awesome. was on such a spiritual high after that. on thursday we went to old tucson, a place out in the middle of now where in our area. its a lot of retirement trailer parks and old scary houses. so its like in the desert and i see this road and im like cool lets drive.....next thing you know my wheels are spining and going deeper and deeper into the sand. lol i drove into a wash!!! i was so scared that we were gonna get in trouble and hafta call someone, but i manned up got outta the car and pushed while sister evans "rocked the car". phew we made it! lol ooops. then that afternoon we were FINALLY able to see our 9 year old to teach her. it had been like almost 3 weeks because they were on vacation. it was so good to see her again. shes still so pumped to get baptized! that night we had dinner at our recent convert families house and their son just got outta jail and unknown to us is already a member! we are working with him as well and my mission is to get him to the ysa and find a nice mormon girl to keep him outta trouble!  on friday we didnt really do anyting too exciting. we planned for the week and had like the best soup of my life at dinner. the husband made it and i was like "ummm i need a husband that can cook like this plz". also that day president killpack told us that elder holland wasnt going to be able to make it to the conference but that we were still gonnna go to pheonix. sad but still exciting. so on saturday morning we all left for pheonix in super nice tour buses. its so much nicer and greener up there thatn in tucson.....but i love being in a place that is different looking. we got there and there was us the pheonix mission and the tempe mission! so many missionaries and fun to see us all together. elder wright from the seventy came and spoke to us and it was really good. he even played a clip from elder holland! so fun! it was really good and got me pumped! on sunday we had church and our recent converts passed the sacrament. they were so nervous but did so good. they even got all of their family to come! his parents said that they are interested in learning more!! score. i love it when that happens. then we had dinner and visited a couple of families and it was off to bed. today is the last pday of the transfer so of course i had to finish it off with a hike. it was fun, so dangerous though. mom you would yell at all the elders who take me on the horribly sketchy hikes. i didnt fall but as i was sliding down one of the rocks, my pants split wide open!!! lol good thing i had a sweatshirt to cover it up. im probably gonna get transferred but i am going to miss the west so much! i love everyone here and they truly have taken me in as family. its amazing how heavely father is so inspired. i hate arizona but i love my mission and wouldnt want to be anyother place. duces family and friends i love you all!!!
